The Holosun SCS-MP2-GR Reflex Sight
The SCS-MP2-GR features a 7075 T6 Aluminum housing construction for increased durability. Likewise, an IP67 waterproof rating ensures that the optic can withstand submersion or extreme aquatic elements. As a result, it can operate under harsh conditions reliably and without issue.
Featuring a large optic window-to-housing ratio, the SCS-MP2-GR is a lightweight 1.3 ounces. The 0.77×0.58-inch window is coated with various filters and anti-reflective properties to ensure visual acuity. Likewise, the coatings help to reduce glare, limit streaking, and improve quality when acquiring a target.
The SCS-MP2-GR features Holosun’s Multi-Reticle System (MRS) with 32MOA Circle, 2MOA dot, or both. However, the optic is only available in a Green (540nm) color option. The sight includes a 30+/- MOA travel adjustment for windage and elevation on the top and side, each with 1 MOA click adjustment.
The parallax-free optic provides unlimited eye relief for the best possible target acquisition. In addition, automatic ambient lighting reticle intensity ensures that you see the reticle in any lighting scenario regardless of reticle.
Utilizing an internal rechargeable battery, the SCS-MP2-GR provides a 20,000-hour power reserve. As a result, in even moderate light, you will never need to change batteries again. However, it features a low power indicator to notify you in the event you need to charge the battery.
The SCS-MP2-GR is designed to mount directly to the slide of the S&W M&P M2.0 full size and compact in either 9mm or .40, without the need for an adapter plate. However, it is important to note that it does not fit the 1.0 or Shield models.
Editor’s Note:
Since it is a rechargeable optic, it can be easy to forget to charge it if it doesn’t see much use. For this reason, I recommend hitting the range regularly and feeding your optic some good ol’ Vitamin D.
Not to mention, I’m sure you carry your pistol wherever you go, so just check it for the low power indicator often. A dead optic in a time of need can be a game changer. A little point-shooting practice doesn’t hurt to mitigate those situations, either.
