Pints of Joy, the artisanal dessert company founded during the pandemic, has moved into a new flagship location in Sunnyvale where the owners have room to manufacture, scoop and serve their specialty ice creams.

Self-professed “mompreneurs” Ketki Dandekar and Arshiya Shaikh make ice cream with natural ingredients and no eggs or artificial flavors, essences or colors. Dominating the lineup are Indian heritage and holiday flavors, fruit flavors and seasonal specialties.

The partners pride themselves on going straight to the source for ingredients. “For example, fruits for our flavors like chikoo, custard apple, mango and guava, come from India, where these fruits are grown,” they said in a 2021 interview. “Our pistachio butter comes from a manufacturer in Italy, who makes the best pistachio butter.”

Top sellers remain the Alphonso Mango, Custard Apple and Gulab Jamun (with pieces of the small doughnut-like dessert). During summertime, newly introduced sorbets were popular, Dandekar said.

Other flavors in the current lineup include Bourbon Toffee, Blueberry Lavender, Fig & Walnut, Salted Guava, and a number of vegan options.

The new location, in the Amber Circle Shopping Center, offers bright seating for 20-plus customers, with room to host birthday parties and other small events.
