A man was killed in a daytime shooting Saturday in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, police said.

Officers reportedly witnessed the shooting, around 10:20 a.m. on the 100 block of Leavenworth Street, but they did not detain the attacker then. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Other witnesses directed investigators to a suspect on the 300 block of Turk Street, around the corner from the shooting site. The 28-year-old man was detained after resisting officers and was later booked on suspicion on homicide.
