Cade Cunningham won’t be suiting up on Saturday night when the Detroit Pistons host the Boston Celtics at Little Caesars Arena.
The Pistons announced the second-year guard will miss at least the next four games with left shin soreness. He will be reevaluated in a week.
Cunningham also was inactive for the Pistons’ loss to the New York Knicks on Friday after posting a season-low four points on 1-for-11 shooting in a loss in Boston on Wednesday. That was the first time he had failed to score in double figures this season.
Cunningham, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2021 NBA draft, currently leads the Pistons in scoring and assists with nightly averages of 19.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.
