Victorian Teas
Sunnyvale Heritage Park Museum is hosting Victorian Teas Dec. 3-4 and 10-11, 2-4 p.m. Finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and sweets are on the menu, along with endless cups of tea. Call the museum at 408-749-0220 for a reservation.
Nostalgic exhibit
The holiday exhibit “1950s Nostalgia” is up through Jan. 3 at the Sunnyvale Heritage Park Museum, 570 E. Remington Drive. It features many model train sets, along with toy villages and dollhouses. These toys used to be coveted holiday gifts and are now collectibles.
For the rest of January, the room for rotating exhibits will be closed, as it is in urgent need of repairs and painting. The next series of special exhibits includes chapters of more recent Sunnyvale history, involving Lockheed and the Blue Cube, in February 2023.

Dog fosterers needed
Humane Society Silicon Valley needs foster families for dogs and puppies and has upcoming onboarding sessions to teach all about the ins and outs of fostering. Foster families are especially needed to help some harder-to-place animals: pregnant and/or nursing moms and puppies; dogs with medical needs; and larger adult dogs weighing 40 lbs. and more; large dogs like Huskies and German Shepherds that need a lot of both physical and mental stimulation; and large or medium-size dogs that might need some extra training around socializing with other dogs or strangers.

The Humane Society also has many dogs available for adoption for those looking to bring a furry friend home for the holidays.
