LeBron James paid tribute to the late Kirshnik Khari “Takeoff” Ball with his pregame outfit on Sunday.
Takeoff, who was a member of the hip-hop trio Migos, was shot and killed at a bowling alley in Houston on Tuesday. He had been attending an event with his uncle and fellow Migos member Quavo.
James, a fan of the band, changed his Instagram avatar to a picture of Takeoff from when the rapper was attending a birthday celebration for Quality Control Music CEO Pierre Thomas in June 2022. On Sunday, before the Los Angeles Lakers‘ home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, James wore a suit, complete with chain, paying tribute to Takeoff.
