JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A week after catching one pass for three yards in a shutout loss at the New Orleans Saints in Week 8, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams put on a show against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Adams had seven catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns as the Raiders built a 17-0 lead with 10:51 to play in the second quarter.
On his second touchdown, quarterback Derek Carr executed a fake handoff and stood in the pocket until Adams broke free downfield. Jaguars safety Andre Cisco slipped on the play and no one was within 10 yards of Adams as he hauled in the pass and walked in for the 38-yard score.
Adams became the first player with five or more catches, 75 or more receiving yards and a receiving TD in the first quarter since tight end Darren Waller (Week 13 of 2020). Those are the only two Raiders to do it since at least 2004.
