The rings the Golden State Warriors received Tuesday night to commemorate last season’s NBA championship have 16 carats of diamonds and a “hidden feature.”

A video posted by the Warriors gives a close-up look of the big ring, made by the jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills. The top, with a design representing the Bay Bridge, can be opened with a lever on the side to reveal a compartment holding tiny versions of the championship trophies won by the player.

The designer said the ring is the first of its type to feature mostly yellow diamonds. The rings the company made for the Warriors’ 2015, 2017 and 2018 championships had mostly white diamonds and sapphires.

The 16 carats of diamonds set into yellow gold represent the team’s 16 wins during the 2022 playoffs. The 7 carats of yellow cushion-cut diamonds on the bezel represent the team’s seven championships, and 43 baguettes in the bridge represent Stephen Curry’s 43-point performance in Game 4 of the finals.

The architecture of the Chase Center is incorporated in the design, and the inside of the ring bears an image of the distinctive roof of the Oakland Arena, the team’s former home.
