A 2005 TVR Sagaris driven on “Top Gear” by Jeremy Clarkson is being offered for sale by Hilton & Moss. The Sagaris was featured in series six, episode seven of the BBC TV show and during the test drive Clarkson described it as only he can, “Every single TVR I have ever driven in the last twenty years has been terrifying,” Clarkson said in the 2005 episode. “What makes this one so special is that it isn’t.”
This Chameleon Orange Sagaris was an official TVR press car and was featured in numerous publications, including “Autocar” and “Evo”. It was first registered in March 2005 and has covered 44,500 miles, with a large percentage of the miles driven during TVR factory ownership. The car has extensive service history, initially with the TVR factory. Since 2012 it has been serviced by STR8SIX, and recently it was fully checked over by the Hilton & Moss team who installed a brand-new clutch. The previous owner bought the car in July 2015 after an extensive search to find this particular TVR Sagaris.
“To bring to market such an important piece of TVR history is a real honor for us and given the enormously dedicated following that the brand still has, it likely won’t be long until this star of the TVR story finds a new custodian,” said Peter Hilton, founder of the Hilton Group.
This well documented TVR Sagaris has seating for two and the black interior features bucket seats with orange seat backs and electric lumbar support, air conditioning, and a DAB radio.
The asking price for this Jeremy Clarkson, “Top Gear” reviewed 2005 TVR Sagaris is £69,995 ($79,507).
