CAPITOLA — Several streets in Capitola will be closed Sunday night for the Monte Foundation fireworks show.
The road closures will take place between 7 and 9 p.m. Sunday.
A spokesperson for the Capitola Police Department said Saturday that the street closures are being implemented to prevent vehicular traffic in the Capitola Village area.
The wharf entrance at Wharf Road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The following closures will be in place from 7 to 9 p.m.: Portola Drive at 47th Avenue; Opal Cliff Drive at Cliff Drive; Capitola Road at 49th Avenue; 49th Avenue at Topaz Street; Opal Street at Prospect Avenue; Wharf Road at Lincoln Avenue; Esplanade at Stockton Avenue; Riverview Avenue at Stockton Avenue; Bluegum Avenue at Riverview Avenue; Capitola Avenue at Riverview Drive; Capitola Avenue at Fanmar Way; Capitola Avenue at Stockton Avenue; San Jose Avenue at Capitola Avenue; Monterey Avenue at Park Place; Monterey Avenue at Fanmar Way; and Monterey Avenue at Park Avenue.Source: www.mercurynews.com
