BART was experiencing a major delay Friday morning between the Embarcadero and West Oakland stations in both directions, the transit agency said.
Trains were single tracking through the Transbay Tube due to an equipment problem on the tracks, according to a statement from the agency just before 7:45 a.m. BART officials said about half an hour later that AC Transit was providing mutual aid systemwide but also encouraged people to find alternate forms of transportation.
