Rend Collective is heading to Surf City.
The acclaimed Christian folk-rock act, known for such fan favorites as “My Lighthouse,” “Counting Every Blessing” and “Build Your Kingdom Here,” is bringing The Whosoever tour to the Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz on Sept. 25.

Having got its start in 2007 in Bangor, Northern Ireland — the same picturesque seaside resort town that nurtured fellow music acts Foy Vance and Snow Patrol — Rend Collective has released a number of popular studio and concert recordings during its career.
Three of the band’s full-length offerings — 2014’s “The Art of Celebration,” 2015’s “As Family We Go” and 2018’s “Good News” — even hit No. 1 on the Billboard Christian albums chart.
And although the fall season has really just begun, music fans shouldn’t wait to check out the band’s pair of fine holiday offerings — 2014’s “Campfire Christmas, Vol. 1” and 2020’s “A Jolly Irish Christmas (Vol. 2).”
