The Vallejo Police Department are investigating their third homicide in Vallejo in less than a week and its 17th of 2022.

On Sunday at 9:23 p.m., Vallejo Police Officers responded to a report of a stabbing on 100 block of  Yolano Drive, according to a news release. The victim, a 46-year-old male resident of Vallejo, was located at the scene suffering from at least one stab wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Vallejo Police Department’s homicide detectives responded to the scene and are taking over the investigation. The motive and circumstances involving this stabbing are under investigation at this time.

The victim’s identity will be withheld pending notification of his relatives.

This homicide comes just a few days after Vallejo’s 15th and 16th homicide in 2022. On Friday at 6:26 p.m., Vallejo Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting on Sonoma Blvd near Nebraska Street, according to a VPD news release. The victim, a 23-year-old male resident of Vallejo, was located at the scene suffering from at least one gunshot. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On Thursday at approximately 6:47 a.m., Vallejo police officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 400 block of Virginia Street, according to a news release.  A 45-year-old male resident of Vallejo was located at the scene suffering from what appeared to be at least one stab wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
