Top-ranked Serra got a little wake-up call in the first half against Central Catholic-Modesto last weekend but overcame a nine-point deficit to win by double digits.
By doing so, the Padres stayed No. 1 in the Bay Area News Group Top 25 for the second week in a row.
Second-ranked De La Salle bounced back from its three-point loss to Serra to beat St. Francis 35-3.
No change there, either.
In fact, the top five spots in the rankings are identical to last week’s.
St. Francis dropped from sixth to ninth after not coming close to repeating last year’s historic upset of De La Salle.
James Logan is the only new team in the rankings. The Colts are 24th.
