A man armed with an AR-15 rifle robbed a person a gunpoint early Sunday in Berkeley.
The gunman took a backpack and laptop at about 1:45 a.m. near the intersection of Benvenue Avenue and Dwight Way, according to a campus alert issued by the University of California, Berkeley. The robber then got into a “newer style” white pickup with a covered bed that was driven by someone else, and the pair sped away.
No injuries were reported in the campus alert.
