The Springfield Hellcat Pro quickly rose to popularity among concealed carry enthusiasts as a solid, easy-to-shoot and conceal platform. I even have one and am very happy with it, both on the range and for EDC. This has many accessory companies releasing products to enhance the overall experience. Such is the case with Apex Tactical and its Hellcat Pro trigger and takedown lever upgrades.

Apex Tactical Tigger and Takedown Lever Upgrades for Springfield Hellcat Pro

Starting with the trigger, Apex releases its updated version of the Action Enhancement Trigger, compatible with both the Hellcat and Hellcat Pro. The trigger comes with an Apex Sear Spring and Apex Striker Spring, significantly improving the feel of the trigger pull.

The trigger upgrade reduces the overall trigger pull weight to 5.0 to 5.5 pounds after the break-in period. In addition, it also offers smooth uptake and reset and delivers a crisp trigger break. The easy-to-install trigger is a direct-drop-in replacement of the factory polymer trigger and also maintains factory safety values.

The trigger is currently available in four different anodized color options: Black, Red, Freedom Edition Black, or Freedom Edition Red.

Moving on to the Extended Takedown Lever, sometimes a good shooting experience can come down to the smallest things. For example, a simple extended takedown lever can make cleaning easier and provide a thumb rest while shooting. Simple yet functional.

The Apex Extended Takedown Lever is machined from a billet of tool steel, heat treated, and black oxide finished. However, the factory lever is metal injection molded. This upgraded process adds a level of refinement and strength.

Easy to install, the extended takedown lever is a direct drop-in replacement of the factory takedown lever. Once installed, the lever features an extended and serrated face that allows for easier disassembly of the Hellcat Pro. In addition, it provides a nice thumb rest for shooters like me, who shoot with a thumb-forward grip.

Editor’s Note:

With the extended takedown lever installed, the extended face may not fit properly in some holsters. Make sure to check with your holster manufacturer about clearance before installation.
