St. Patrick-St. Vincent’s water polo player Rayne Caragan is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Aug. 22-27 after he received 13,636 (32.54%) by the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Caragan finished ahead of James Logan volleyball player McKenzie Anderson, who finished second with 9,583 votes (22.87%).
Monta Vista volleyball player Miranda Shakouri took third.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Caragan enjoyed an excellent start to her senior year. The St. Patrick-St. Vincent goal-machine tallied seven goals and one assist, and also had six steals in competition tracked during the week.
