Sig Sauer Issues Product Warning and Ammo Recall Notice

According to Sig Sauer, portions of Lot No. JDAR0815 of 9mm, 115gr, Elite Ball, FMJ (SKU E9MMB1-50) may have powder charge variations. As a result, this could cause a bullet-in-bore obstruction. This is where the bullet remains in the barrel, causing an obstruction for subsequent shots.

If you fire a subsequent shot into a bore obstruction, it could cause firearm damage, rendering the firearm inoperable. Likewise, and more serious, it would subject the shooter and bystanders to a risk of serious personal injury. For this reason, the company asks that you immediately stop using the ammunition and return it for replacement.

According to Sig Sauer, “Ammunition from this lot should be removed from use immediately and segregated from other ammunition until it can be returned to SIG SAUER.”

The lot in question is Lot No. JDAR0815 and was manufactured from April 8, 2022, through April 18, 2022. However, it is important to note that this does not affect the entire SKU/product line. This only applies to Lot No. JDAR0815, additional lots of ammunition are not affected.
