Just after 8 a.m., northbound train No. 705 hit the person at the Santa Clara station, according to Caltrain spokesperson Dan Lieberman.

Lieberman said no injuries were reported among the train’s 104 passengers.
Caltrain did not release any additional information about the fatal collision, the commuter rail line’s eighth of the year.
