SAN JOSE — A man suffered life-threatening injuries after a fight Sunday in a downtown city block, authorities said.
According to social-media posts, police responded at 6:11 p.m. to reports of a large fight in the 100 block of West St. John Street, not far from San Pedro Square Market, and found the man suffering from injuries. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police have closed off surrounding streets to help investigators, who have not shared any suspect information or a motive for the fight, and have asked residents and visitors to avoid the area.

One adult male victim with life-threatening injuries was transported to a local hospital.
