The Streamlight TLR-10 G Tactical Gun Light
Constructed of durable 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum, with a black anodized finish, the TLR-10 G features an IPX4 water-resistant rating. As a result, comes a rugged package that can withstand the elements. Likewise, the black anodized finish helps protect the overall construction from hard use.
The rail-mounted design weighs 4.63 ounces and measures 3.87-inches long. It installs securely to a broad range of weapons, via the included key kit. Likewise, the light features a one-handed, snap on and tighten interface for a fast and easy installation. The interface helps keep hands away from the muzzle when attaching or detaching it.
Featuring an ambidextrous rear switch, the TLR-10 G provides 1,000 lumens of steady or strobing light, with 200-meter beam. The tail switch comes with the high switch mounted but also comes with a user-swappable low switch, based on user preference. In addition, the highly visible green aiming laser ensures long-range targeting capability, even in daylight conditions.
Running on two 3-volt CR123A lithium batteries, the TLR-10 G includes three modes: laser only, LED only, and LED/laser. Run time is 1.5 hours for LED only or LED/Laser and 11 hours for laser only. However, it will provide 3 hours of continuous runtime on strobe. In addition, it includes a safe-off feature to prevent accidental activation.

Lighting options for your firearms can be a great equalizer in low light conditions but can also present a hazard. Although using a weapon-mounted light for home defense helps you see the intruder, it also helps them see you.
You know your home better than an intruder, use that to your advantage. Navigate your home in the dark as much as you can, because using a flashlight lets the intruder see you coming. Your light should only be used sparingly, as necessary, and just to identify your target and/or disorient them.
And if you do have to shoot the intruder, maintain light discipline after the event, you never know if there is an accomplice in the house.
