OAKLAND — A woman was shot Friday evening in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Shortly after 6 p.m., police responded to reports of an injury shooting in the 8200 block of Golf Links Road, police said in a statement.
When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics and Oakland Fire Department firefighters also responded, providing care before transporting her to a hospital for treatment. She was later listed in critical but stable condition, police said.
Police did not provide information about a shooting suspect or an associated vehicle.
