Players ready 54th season
With its youth production of “Matilda Jr.” set to open July 15 and plans for its 54th season underway, Sunnyvale Community Players are looking for volunteers to work behind the scenes to help make the shows happen on stage.
The long list of volunteer opportunities includes producer, technical director, master carpenter, sound operator, rehearsal pianist, house manager, set construction and marketing, from program design to social media support.
To volunteer or for more information, email info@sunnyvaleplayers.org.
The company’s youth production for its 54th season is “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.”
The season opens with two modern musicals: “Working,” running Sept. 10-Oct. 2, and “Songs for a New World,” Oct. 29-Nov. 13.
“Beauty and the Beast” is set for Feb. 24-March 12, 2023, and the season closes with “Next to Normal,” April 22-May 14.
Shows are at the Sunnyvale Theatre within the Sunnyvale Community Center at 550 E. Remington Drive.
