Community grants open
Money is flowing in the Town of Los Gatos, as multiple grant funding streams open up. The town is offering funding to nonprofits for community services, human services and students. Applications for all grants are available online at www.losgatosca.gov/318/Community-Grant-Programs.
The Town’s annual community grant applications are available for the 2022-23 fiscal year. Nonprofits looking to provide new programs or services in town are eligible for grants OF up to $7,500 each, with applications open through July 22. Up to 10 grants will be awarded. The Town is also providing a total of $70,000 in funding for its Sustaining Grant program, designed to support organizations’ existing services. Five nonprofits providing human services will be awarded these grants.
Individual residents, from students to adults, are eligible to apply for an Innovation Grant. The town will dole out $1,500 to each selected applicant to help kick start a community-centric project. The deadline for these grants is Aug. 31.

Boulevard construction to end
Light sleepers, rejoice: Crews are wrapping up overnight road work on Los Gatos Boulevard. The work, which has been in progress since June 27, was undertaken on the northbound lanes between Lark Avenue and Walker Street. It is scheduled to be completed July 9.
Summer workers wanted
This summer, the Town of Los Gatos is looking to hire more seasonal workers in the Parks & Public Works Department. Workers would help maintain the town’s parks, trails and trees, work public events and more during one of the busiest seasons for public space use.
