We know our audience loves “Rick and Morty” and with the highly anticipated sixth season coming out at some point this year, we wanted to reward you guys. This article is all about Mortimer Smith, better known to the fandom as Morty. Morty was created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, with Roiland lending his voice to the role. His character takes inspiration from Michael J. Fox’s Marty McFly from the acclaimed “Back to the Future” trilogy. He’s known for being an anxious, impressionable and unsure 14 year old, which greatly contrasts his grandfather Rick Sanchez. Morty mainly interacts with Rick throughout the series, but we also see him with his parents Jerry and Beth Smith, as well as his older sister Summer Smith.
“Rick and Morty” premiered in 2013 and led to five seasons with a total of 51 episodes. The fifth season aired in June 2021 and a release date for season six has yet to be officially announced. However, given the pattern of past season premieres, fans expect the season to debut at some point in 2022.
