Self-described Democratic strategist and consultant Adam Parkhomenko issued a tweet on Thursday in which he apparently described some members of U.S. Supreme Court as “mass shooters.”

“Sometimes mass shooters wear robes and don’t have a gun,” Parkhomenko tweeted after the release of a gun-related Supreme Court opinion.

“Because the State of New York issues public-carry licenses only when an applicant demonstrates a special need for self-defense, we conclude that the State’s licensing regime violates the Constitution,” Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in the opinion.

The nine-member high court was divided 6-3 on the decision, and Parkhomenko was presumably targeting his remarks towards to the six justices in the majority: John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. Justices Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor, who are widely regarded as the court’s liberal contingent, dissented.

“I see we’ve made the leap to accusing Supreme Court Justices as murderers,” someone tweeted in response to Parkhomenko’s post.

“As a general rule, I don’t ever say that people who haven’t ever mass shot are mass shooters,” someone else tweeted.

“You should be ashamed of yourself for saying something like this. Did you actually read the whole opinion. Narrow in scope. Be an adult and do your research. #DemsAreChildren,” another tweet read.

Many on the left have expressed their disapproval regarding the Supreme Court’s ruling.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, called the decision both “reckless” and “reprehensible.”

President Joe Biden said in a statement that he is “deeply disappointed by the” decision. “This ruling contradicts both common sense and the Constitution, and should deeply trouble us all,” he declared.

“It has become necessary to dissolve the Supreme Court of the United States. The first step is for a state the ‘court’ has now forced guns upon, to ignore this ruling. Great. You’re a court? Why and how do think you can enforce your rulings? #IgnoreTheCourt,” Keith Olbermann tweeted. “Also, f[***] Alito, Thomas, Roberts, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and the paralegal Coney Barrett,” he wrote in another post.
