Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton is exercising his $5.7 million option to return for the 2022-23 NBA season, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday.
Connaughton, a 2015 second-round pick who will be entering his eighth season, is now eligible to sign an extension with the Bucks this offseason.
The 29-year-old Connaughton set career highs with 9.9 points over 26.0 minutes per game in 65 appearances last season. He also pulled down 4.2 rebounds while averaging 1.3 assists while setting a personal mark with 146 3-pointers.
His production increased after the Bucks traded Donte DiVincenzo to the Sacramento Kings at the trade deadline.
