RICHMOND — One person died and another was wounded Tuesday after a shooting in unincorporated North Richmond, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies received reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of Giaramita Street about 2:53 p.m., according to a statement from Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jimmy Lee. When they arrived, there found two victims, Lee said.
One of them died at the scene. Authorities on Wednesday did not identify that person.
The other person went by ambulance to a hospital. Authorities did not have any information on that person’s condition.
The sheriff’s office did not say whether they have any suspects or what the motive might be.
