MORAGA – Authorities on Monday detained three carjacking suspects following a vehicle pursuit in Moraga.
Just before 4 p.m., officers spotted a vehicle that was wanted in connection with an armed carjacking driving on Moraga Road, the Moraga Police Department said in a news release.
The driver did not stop for the officers, who in turn pursued the vehicle, according to police. When the vehicle reached Camino Pablo and Shuey Drive, the three occupants got out and ran, but they were all eventually detained, according to police.
During the chase, a gun was thrown from the vehicle near Campolindo High School, police said, adding that it was recovered.
