Whether for competition shooting or personal preference, many hit the range with a full-size pistol but prefer to carry a concealed compact. However, this often requires training with each extensively, due to the different aiming platforms. For this reason, Holosun introduces the EPS and EPS Carry reflex sights. As a result, you have one for training and one for carry, both utilizing the same platform for instant recognition.

Holosun EPS and EPS Carry Reflex Sights

Featuring a 7075-aluminum black housing, both the EPS (Enclosed Pistol Sight) and EPS Carry are lightweight and durable. Likewise, each optic has a IPX8 water and dust proof rating, so you don’t have to worry about the elements.

The EPS features a 0.90 x 0.63 window size, designed for use with a full-size pistol. However, the EPS Carry has a smaller 0.77 x 0.58 window size, ideal for a compact carry pistol. Similarly, the EPS weighs 1.4 ounces, while the EPS Carry comes in at a lighter 1.23 ounces. Each optic utilizes the Holosun “K” series footprint for straightforward fitment.

A nice feature of both optics is the low deck height, which allows you to utilize standard height iron sights. Additionally, each optic is parallax-free with unlimited eye relief in an aspheric glass lens.

Featuring your choice of red or green dot, there are eight daylight and four night vision-compatible brightness settings. Operating on one CR1620 battery, each features Solar Failsafe technology to aid in a long 50,000-hour continuous battery life. Likewise, the Shake Awake technology, with last setting recall, prevents unintended battery drain.

The EPS/EPS Carry features a multi-reticle system with 32 MOA circle with 2 MOA dot, 2 MOA dot only, or 32 MOA circle only. The reticle has a travel range of +/- 30 MOA with a windage/elevation adjustment of 1.5 MOA per click.

Editor’s Note:

They say you should train as you live. However, when it comes to firearm training, some prefer to hit the range with a full-size pistol and carry a compact. I am one of those people. When it comes to range time, I like shooting my SIG P226, but I carry my SIG P250 Compact. Although I do not have an optic on either, I do have the same sights. For this reason, I have instant sight recognition regardless of which pistol I shoot.

Of course, it is a little pricey to purchase two separate optics. But in this case, when you look at the street price of each, the two together would be similar in price to one Trijicon. That might not make it too much easier for some, but when it comes to proper training, the benefit might be worth the cost.
