UNION CITY – Authorities on Friday announced an arrest in the shooting death of a Union City resident earlier this year.

Stephanie Ledon, 30, was arrested Wednesday for her involvement in the homicide of 43-year-old Karim Zepeda Martinez, the Union City Police Department said in a news release.

The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office on Friday charged Ledon with murder and robbery.

In the early morning hours of April 9, officers were called to the area of Eric Court and Kenita Way for a report of gunshots. They arrived to find Martinez suffering from multiple gunshot injuries. Paramedics pronounced Martinez dead at the scene.
