SAN JOSE — Firefighters responded to a two-alarm blaze in a Willow Glen neighborhood Saturday evening, the San Jose Fire Department said.
The fire was reported just before 5:30 p.m. on the 1600 block of Callecita St. Authorities said there were reports of several homes on fire and others were threatened after some trees caught on fire.
Fire Captain Sean Lovens said that “15 trees caught fire and the embers spread throughout the neighborhood and spread to two homes.”
One of the homes sustained significant damage and the other sustained water damage from the sprinkler system putting out the fire, Lovens said.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
