LOS ALTOS – A South Bay piano teacher has been arrested on suspicion of touching a teenage student in an “inappropriate sexual manner,” according to authorities.
The Los Altos Police Department investigated the allegations against the teacher, a 63-year-old resident of San Jose, said Detective Sgt. Cameron Shearer. The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and a warrant was issued for the man’s arrest.
On Wednesday, the teacher self-surrendered at the police department, Shearer said.
Shearer said the teacher conducted private lessons in the South Bay. No other victims have come forward.
