Although the company typically deals with pistol parts, it is making its entry into the optics market. Rival Arms begins its foray into optics with the X1 Micro Reflex red dot sight, with a budget-friendly price point.
The Rival Arms X1 Micro Reflex Red Dot Sight
The X1 features a generous 29x17mm multi-coated objective lens, assuring a good sight picture. As a result, comes a sight that is reliable and adaptable for any mission. Likewise, it comes readily compatible with an RMR footprint for concealed carry, defensive, and target pistols. However, the included Picatinny mount allows for installation on rifles and shotguns as well.
Additionally, the rugged construction features a water-resistant rating of IPX7, so you don’t have to worry about the elements.
The X1 includes a 3 MOA dot featuring digital push-button brightness controls, to quickly select one of ten brightness settings. Likewise, it is adjustable for windage and elevation in 1-MOA per click increments.
The X1 features automatic wake and sleep modes to help ensure long battery life. However, the top access battery compartment allows you to swap batteries without removing the optic. As a result, you don’t need to worry about re-zeroing with each battery replacement.

I spoke with a representative of the company, and they are currently expecting a shipment of approximately 2,000 units. She said she is not sure when it will come in, but that it could take up to 30 to 90 days. Although they are uncertain when exactly to expect the sights, many companies are accepting pre-orders now. Other sights have an option to be notified when it is in stock.
While looking around, it appears that the street price of the X1 will be in the neighborhood of $239.99.
