Santana Row has new opportunities for those looking to engage in some retail therapy.

Courtesy of Paige Denim, the chic new Santana Row outpost of the born-in-LA fashion house named for founder and former denim fashion model Paige Adams-Geller, I know what to call those slitty-kneed jeans that look like they’ve been shredded by a teething tiger cub: destructed. Okay, that makes me feel a lot better, even if the concept of paying over $200 for already frayed jeans is a bit hard for this old hippie chick to process.

Geller kicked off her denim line in 2004, and seems bent on creating a pair of jeans to fit almost any role you want to play, from Colette Crop Petite to Claudine Notre Dame to Sarah Straight Distressed. There’s Chelsea New York boot and Cindy Crop Unplugged, but no Karen. I was drawn to the High Rise Manhattan Boot Joan de Arc, because, yeah, she probably preferred boots to sandals. Feeling contemporary French? The Claudine Seine culotte style jeans are super flattering, especially if your calves are sculpted.

The High Rise Laurel Canyon Ocean Blues are oh, so bell bottom, and would look particularly fetching on Joni Mitchell. The Flaunt line hugs every curve for women endowed with that classic hourglass figure.

The store also carries adorable dresses in garden party silk and cotton that pay tribute to Princess Diana, with preppy pastel blouses and tops that set off shorts and look jaunty under jackets made of denim and other fabrics. There’s a line of menswear with a colorful line of jeans, none of which come in Bombshell Ankle.

Faherty is another recent Santana Row addition focusing on casual wear, with a whole line of surfwear developed in conjunction with expert surfboard designer Paul Schmidt.

Relying on innovation with an eye on sustainability, Faherty uses nontoxic dyes and fabrics like hemp, alpaca and cashmere to create everyday wear for the warm summer months. The Legend sweater shirt or a cashmere blend button up would make a great gift for the guy in your life who needs to look polished for the Wednesday Zoom call. For women, adorable dresses in gingham, cotton gauze tops, twill jumpsuits and matching linen striped pants and shirts make looking put-together pretty painless.

For those in search of furnishings, CB2 aims to fill your place with practical yet stylish furnishings and accessories, from sectionals to ottomans and poufs. Classic leather couches, especially button-tufted ones, are available, or choose one with channels for a modern look.
