OAKLAND — Three people were wounded in two Oakland shootings less than an hour apart early Saturday morning, including a man shot twice during a robbery in the Pill Hill area, authorities said.

All of the victims were in stable condition and the shootings do not appear to be related, authorities said.

The robbery-shooting happened about 3:12 a.m. on the 2900 block of Telegraph Avenue. Police said a 38-year-old man was confronted on the street by several people who took his wallet. One of them then shot him in the abdomen and leg.

The suspects fled in a vehicle before police arrived at the scene and took the man to a hospital.

About 2:30 a.m. a 29-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were shot in the area of Adeline Street and West Grand Avenue in West Oakland.

Authorities said the two were in a vehicle stopped at a traffic light when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside it began shooting at them.

The man, who was driving, and the woman both suffered arm wounds. A motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money in the double shooting and up to $7,500 in the other shooting for information leading to the arrests of the suspects.

Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or 510-238-3326 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
