Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams has entered the league’s health and safety protocols and won’t play in Game 6 on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Grizzlies rookie forward Ziaire Williams is doubtful with right knee soreness.
Adams, 28, had a strong season for the Grizzlies but hasn’t been a big factor in their first-round series against Minnesota. He has played less than seven minutes since logging 24 in Game 1.
If Memphis closes out the Timberwolves on Friday, their second-round series against the Golden State Warriors will begin on Sunday. If the series goes seven, Game 1 will be pushed to Tuesday.
