A man died early Sunday morning when the car he was driving rolled over on Interstate 880 near Fremont.
The man was heading north on I-880 just north of Alvarado Boulevard at about 4:45 a.m. when he appeared to lose control of his Toyota sedan, sending it rolling several times, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The crash closed much of Interstate 880 for a couple of hours early Sunday morning, though all lanes have since reopened.
