PLEASANTON — A man was found by authorities with a stab wound to the neck and bullet holes in his car Friday evening in Sunol following a shooting in Pleasanton.
Pleasanton police said they received reports of gunfire at a home near the 4800 block of Bernal Avenue around 9 p.m., and that a man was seen bleeding not far away.
When officers arrived, they found shell casings and searched for the man but didn’t immediately locate him, according to a news release issued by Pleasanton police Saturday.
Later, with assistance from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, the man was found at a gas station in Sunol, several miles south of where the shell casings were found, police said.
He was taken to a hospital and police said he was expected to survive.
No further details about the investigation were immediately available.
