A 15-year-old Antioch girl has died following a shooting Saturday night in East Oakland at a home where she was visiting, authorities said.
Oakland police were called about 7:13 p.m. to a home on the 2900 block of 68th Avenue and found the girl suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital where she died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
There were other people at home inside at the time of the shooting, but police are still investigating the circumstances of what led up to the shooting.
No arrests have been announced.
The girl’s age was initially reported to be 13.
