Three people were injured Saturday night when they were struck by vehicles at sideshows in San Jose.

Two of the people suffered broken bones when they were hit by separate vehicles at a sideshow near Lundy Avenue and Concourse Drive, according to the San Jose Police Department. One of them also suffered head injury.

A third person was hospitalized in critical condition early Sunday morning with a brain injury after also being hit by a vehicle at a sideshow, San Jose police said. No other details were released about where or when that person was injured.

At least one person was arrested, and their vehicle was towed, according to police. Few other details have been released, and police said at least one other vehicle that hit a pedestrian fled.

San Jose police also said lasers were pointed at the department’s helicopter during the sideshows, leaving the helicopter’s pilots at risk of severe eye injury.
