Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has been placed in health and safety protocols and will miss Sunday’s game against the Raptors in Toronto.
Assistant coach Chris Quinn will replace Spoelstra. Jimmy Butler (toe), Dewayne Dedmon (ankle), Gabe Vincent (toe) and P.J. Tucker (knee) were also ruled out.
The game marks Heat guard Kyle Lowry‘s return to Toronto for the first time since leaving the team in free agency this summer.
Miami enters Sunday’s matchup up 1.5 games on the Milwaukee Bucks for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors are 0.5 games up on the Chicago Bulls for the fifth seed.
