The Hawke Optics Reflex Sight
Featuring aluminum construction, the Reflex Sight is not only durable but also lightweight, at 3 ounces. In addition, the sight is both water- and shockproof, according to the company. However, without an IPX rating listed, it is unclear to what level it is waterproof.
The 1.5-inch-wide viewing window provides plenty field of view, providing an entire sight picture for faster target acquisition. Housed within the frame is a 25-layer, fully multi-coated lens. As a result, the lens can withstand hard use and remain functional.
Within the viewing window is a 2 MOA dot, surrounded by a 35 MOA circle reticle. The reticle has eight brightness settings for use in daylight or dimly lit environments. To preserve the CR2032 battery, the sight goes into standby mode when there is no movement detected for 5 minutes. Likewise, the sight comes back on when picked up, for fast use.
The Reflex Sight features a Weaver rail mount making it perfect for any AR, rifle, or shotgun with Picatinny or Weaver rail. However, it is small enough to use on a pistol, but you will need to purchase a Picatinny rail optic mounting plate if one is not already present. If you go this route, I recommend purchasing a Picatinny rail and not a Weaver rail. Weaver accessories will fit on a Picatinny rail, but Picatinny accessories will not fit on a Weaver rail.
