This can be a hard one if you’re like me and want to store up items until the absolute perfect moment. However, in order to figure out what an item does, you’ll want to try it out blind the first time. Just make sure you’re not facing a wall in case something blows up.

One of the great things about Tunic is that it rewards its players for being liberal with consumables. If you have something, use it. How some things work won’t be apparent until later, or until you put some pieces together, but don’t stress. If you can’t reveal an object’s secrets immediately, just keep your eyes open for possible solutions.

Also, remember to continually check back in the menu to see if you picked up something you can equip. This could help you avoid missing a critical factor, especially in later areas of the game that seem drainingly difficult.
