OAKLAND — Three people confronted and robbed a Brink’s security guard of his cash at gunpoint Wednesday, authorities said.
The guard was not injured, police said.
The robbery happened in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven in the 4700 block of MacArthur Boulevard about 9:35 a.m. According to police, the guard had just picked up cash from the store and was walking to the truck.
Police said three masked suspects approached the driver, one with a gun.
One of the suspects took the satchel of cash, and they all fled in a vehicle, police said.
Police did not have an exact amount of cash that was taken but said it was believed to be in the thousands of dollars.
