A man died Saturday evening after being shot several times near a liquor store outside Hayward.
The man was shot about 10:40 p.m. on the 200 block of A Street, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. The man’s name has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Two assailants fled the scene before deputies arrived, the sheriff’s office said, and no arrests have been announced.
