Foster City will resume in-person attendance for public meetings next month, with masks required for those who wish to take part, the city said Friday.
Members of the public who wish to attend meetings can do so beginning March 7.
While San Mateo County has lifted its indoor mask mandate, masks are still required in Foster City’s indoor public facilities, regardless of vaccination status.
“The city council appreciates the patience and engagement from Foster City residents during this challenging time, and we hope restarting in-person meetings will bring us one step closer to normal again,” Foster City Mayor Richa Awasthi said.
Meetings of the city council, planning commission and other city governmental bodies will still offer a virtual participation option via Zoom for members of the public who are unable to attend in person.
Members of the public can also provide written comment by emailing publiccomment@fostercity.org by 4 p.m. on the day of a meeting.
