Archbishop Mitty basketball played Isaiah Cabebe has been named Bay Area News Group boys high school athlete of the week for Feb. 7-13 after receiving 38.59% of the vote by the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.

Cabebe had 13,077 votes to finish ahead of Andrew Hill basketball player Ezekiel Dop, who was second with 28.07%. De La Salle basketball player Jordan Webster (25.98%) took third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Cabebe buried a 3-pointer from the corner that propelled Mitty, playing at home in San Jose, to a 50-47 victory over Archbishop Riordan that clinched the West Catholic Athletic League championship.

Cabebe, a senior, finished with 10 points.
