With 51.06% of the vote, Valley Christian basketball player Jadyn Patterson has been named Bay Area News Group girls high school athlete of the week for Jan. 31-Feb. 6.

Los Altos basketball player Natalie Holm had 28.10% of the vote at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday to finish second. Campolindo soccer player Ella Colombini was third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Patterson, a guard, had 13 points, six assists and five steals in a tough loss on the road against third-ranked Archbishop Mitty. Valley Christian led at halftime.

The 5-foot-5 senior has been on varsity all four years and was all-West Catholic Athletic League as a freshman. She is headed for Cal State-Stanislaus.
