After missing four games in the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols, Phoenix Suns coach Monty Williams has been cleared and will join the team for Tuesday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Suns, at 28-8, have the second-best record in the league.
Williams entered the league’s health and safety protocols on Dec. 27, with Kevin Young going 2-2 as the acting coach during Williams’ absence.
Suns guard Landry Shamet, who scored 17 points in Sunday’s victory over Charlotte, was added to the protocols Tuesday. He joins Deandre Ayton, Jae Crowder, JaVale McGee and Abdel Nader on the list.
The Suns on Tuesday also signed Justin Jackson to a 10-day contract.
